Booster Seats Can Be Deadly
As a loving and caring parent, how you wished you'd spend all of your time with your son and daughters, you love to always play with them, spend time with them, bond with them, and always keep them company. Hence, you carry them wherever you go, and you bring them on trips through your car.
However, in the outside world, you'll never know what may happen, and if you bring your child with you all the time, you'd most likely put them in danger rather than keeping them safe at home. I know you like to spend lots of time with your children and you also want them to be very safe no matter where they are--whether playing or in the car.
Several studies have reported that as numbers of cars and car owners are continuously increasing each day, one of the primary causes of children's accidents and deaths are due to a car crash. This is so because when a car accident occur, a child whom is the more vulnerable than adults, would most likely obtain the largest impact, and as dependent as they can be, they cannot help themselves to survive. Hence, putting an end to the life of an innocent little angel.
Accidents – they happen even when you least expect them. Well, that's why they are called accident, they are unexpected and undesirable events. Obviously, no one wants them, except when the term is used for “accidentally bumping into your crush.” Kidding aside, accidents are often unwanted, yet they come though they were never welcome. You won't know when they would happen to you, so it is recommended that you'll always be prepared and alert.
Preparedness doesn't mean you'd just sit there, wait and accept this unwanted event. Preparing means fighting against accidents, being always ready to counterattack them, or if not, even as simple as avoiding them, or being one of the fortunate survivors.
Because children are still largely dependent on adults, they can't do these preparations all by themselves. Thus, as a parent, this is one of your tasks. You don't want to bump into an accident, and regret in the end that you have failed to prepare the security of your children.
Booster seat is one type of a child car seat, and it is widely known in the market, and most of the parents use them to protect their children from probable danger. They trust their children's life on this piece of equipment. Not until an emotional video was uploaded on You Tube by a mother of a 3-year old kid named Kyle. In this video, she blamed the death of his young child to the malfunction of her child's booster seat.
During the car accident they had on May 2005, Kyle was seated in a booster seat, which she thought would protect her child in such cases. However, it had functioned otherwise. The seatbelt was buckled but upon impact it unlatched.
Because of her horrific loss, Kyle's mother urges parents all over the world to use 5-point harness seats for their children rather than booster seats. A 5-point harness provides more security and protection to your lovable kids. A Britax car seat or a Maxi-Cosi car seat are very positive choices for a parent who wants to keep their child safe...very safe!

Buying Baby Clothing Complicated By Choices
When it comes to baby clothing there is no shortage of originality or attempts at humor. Many people find themselves in a quandary of how much and what size to get. There are Fashions from multiple outlets that meet everyone's sense of humor, sense of style and their sense of budget. The one thing most Mom's and Dad's keep in mind when buying infant clothes is the fact that the child may not wear it too long.
From the time a baby is born until it reaches maturity, there are continuous and unpredictable periods of growth. These spurts can make it hard to decide what size the child will be wearing from one week to the next and, even if there is a major sale on baby clothing, many parents are disinclined to buy too many clothes as the child will outgrow many of them before they have the opportunity to wear them.
Getting baby clothing as gifts for someone's child is just as puzzling, as the child can grow dramatically in a few short weeks and an outfit that might be the perfect size the day it is bought may be too small when they receive the outfit. For the most part it is best to purchase baby clothing that is larger than needed, giving the infant a chance to grow into it instead of having a a lot of clothing they cannot wear.
Shopping For Sizes Can Be A Daunting Task
Complicating the process of purchasing baby clothing even more than the growth spurts are the makers who evidently do not follow the same guidelines on how their clothing is sized. A child who fits perfectly in a toddler size four from one company but a size four from a different company can either be too big or too small.
Many manufacturers also bewilder those who do not have children, with their sizes of baby clothing by marking it for months, or in rare cases by the infant's weight. Infant clothing is almost always sized by months indicating an outfit will fit an infant. For example, from zero to three months or three to six months of age. Most parents learn fast that the age of the child is rarely a proper indicator of the size of their babies clothing.
Many Mom's and Dad's will but from discounted online vendors when it comes to buying baby clothing, knowing that the infant will likely outgrow it after one or two times of wearing it. Purchasing pricey designer infant clothes may make the people feel proud when they take their baby out into public, but the need for frequent replacement may soon give way to wisdom.
A Baby Blanket Can Make A Memorable Baby Shower Gift
It is never easy to think of gift ideas for a baby shower but a baby blanket could just be the answer to earning the "best gift" award at the shower. With a wide range of original and clever designs available you can't go wrong here with these unique baby shower gifts.
However, what could be more ordinary than a baby blanket I hear you say? Used for thousands of years to swath a baby and provide much needed warmth, it's difficult to picture anybody coming up with a novel idea for a blanket. Well think again. Baby blankets have found whole new heights of fun, usefulness and creativity.
"Pigs in a Blanket" is just one example that combines a clever design with a practical gift. This two-piece gift set will cause lots of "awws" and "oohs" when the proud mother opens the beautifully decorated gift box which comprises an enchanting vintage container topped with an organza bow.
Inside the box she will discover a plush blanket that can be imprinted with a memorable phrase or even personalized. It is wrapped around a gorgeous pig in the style of a teddy bear which will quickly become the baby's favorite. Made from stain-resistant polyester which will last for years, it could well even be handed down to the next generation.
The gift also includes a child's story book rhyme which is designed to complement the other two items. "This Little Piggy" which is printed on the back was never so much fun and the five little piggies dancing on the front certainly agree.
Just as much fun is the JoJo Giraffe toy which comes with its own very special blanket inside its own keepsake box. At 20 inches high it will sit proudly in the corner until the baby can no longer resist the temptation to play with it... which at a guess will take about four seconds. With his legs wrapped around a colorful keepsake box done in similar style, JoJo is unquestionably a perfect gift.
The blanket which accompanies the gift adds hugely to the delight that both baby and mom will receive from this gorgeous item. Easily personalized with the addition of the baby's name, the sunny yellow fleece of the blanket is warm and soothing. Also, at 40 inches by 30 inches, it is a good size for either a baby blanket or decorative bed cover.
Even baby blankets which are standalone items can also make perfect gifts. The Maddie's Meadow is a wonderful example. Colorfully decorated with butterflies and flowers on a background of pink, it's extremely inviting. The gift box also carries a matching theme with bright green grass and fluffy pink clouds which serve to remind mom of the joys of spring. Personalization is easily achieved because of the wide satin border that surrounds the soft fleece.
Double Strollers Excellent Solution For Siblings, Twins
For the family that either has two young children who are toddlers or younger or who have been given the rare gift of twins, double strollers are a welcomed convenience. A double stroller is guaranteed to make things easier in many ways for such families. With just one double stroller for two small children, which is good until around the age of four years, they can safely be accommodated so that parents don't have to try to push two single strollers and then deal with the hassles of folding both of them up and trying to get them to fit in their car.
Double strollers are available in wide variety of colors and styles and are offered from a variety of different baby travel gear manufacturers. The first thing you will find is that there are two distinctly different types of double stroller models or configurations that parents can choose from, and each of these configurations come in an array of styles.
The side-by-side configuration of double strollers is just like it sounds; two seats are set up next to each other. The configuration for the tandem stroller has one seat positioned in back of the other. There are advantageous aspects to each of these stroller formats, as well as some drawbacks to each. Before deciding which is best for your family, you should carefully consider some factors.
The most common model and most widely available, is the side-by-side double stroller. For the best handling when steering this type of stroller, it is better to use this model with twins or with two children who are fairly close to the same weight. These baby strollers are easier to maneuver over curbs, small bumps and obstacles.
Obviously, the double, side-by-side strollers are wider than the tandem stroller models, but in recent years, primarily due to feedback from parents, manufacturers have worked hard at redesigning them to be as narrow as possible so that they can fit through doorways more easily. However, it should be noted that a side-by-side double stroller will always be more challenging, awkward, and difficult to steer and navigate through crowded areas and tight aisles.
Another benefit to the side-by-side configuration is that with the children seated alongside each other, they can better interact as they grow and they also enjoy the same view from their seats. As the kids get older, this is an important factor as it will reduce the fighting and bickering that might take place over who gets to sit in the front seat. The seats of most side-by-side models don't recline fully, and if this is the case with the model you are considering, it should be used with older children and not infants.
The tandem stroller models seem to be better suited for use with a baby and an older brother or sister. With most models of these double seated strollers, the seat in the rear is able to recline fully which is perfect for the newborn, while the older sibling has a nice view from the front seat and plenty of leg room as well.
Many people like the fact that the tandem stroller takes up less space when folded than the side-by-side double strollers do. The tandem models are obviously narrower so they can move through doorways and cramped aisles better. But because they are longer, they can be harder to turn and can make navigating small areas a real challenge. As you start looking at the different configurations and models of the double baby strollers available, keep these things in mind to help guide your decision.
Twin Strollers: What Do You Need?
Is baby number two on the way or are you expecting twins? Then you definitely need a double stroller!
Before you begin, you need to determine which stroller matches your lifestyle. For example, it doesn't make sense to purchase the same twin stroller your friend loves if you're an avid runner and her favorite hobby is shopping.
Discover the best double stroller for you by answering the eight following questions.
1. What activities do you need a double stroller for?
Do you do most of your shopping in malls? Do you like to jog or take long walks around the neighborhood in all types of weather? Are you a frequent traveler?
The activities you do most often will decide what type of twin stroller you should choose, whether it be a regular double mall stroller, a lightweight (ex. umbrella) double stroller, a double jogging stroller or a twin all-terrain stroller.
2. Which seating design would best suit your needs?
Twin strollers come in two seating designs: tandem (one seat in front of the other) or side-by-side. Both designs have their advantages and disadvantages, so it's important for you to think carefully about what your lifestyle will be like with twins or two children of different ages (although this is not easy to do before actually living through it!).
3. What are the ages and temperaments of your children?
Your twin stroller needs will be slightly different if you're the parents of twins than if you have a baby and an older child. Some double strollers are true twin strollers, meaning they have features that are meant to accommodate two children of the same age, such as the ability to clip in two infant car seats. There are also double strollers that are designed so that a toddler can sit in the front seat where he can have a better view and more leg room while baby brother or sister sleeps comfortably in the fully reclining rear seat.
Many parents find that side-by-side double strollers help keep the peace between children because they prevent arguments about who gets to sit in the front seat. On the other hand, being side-by-side can also create other problems with the two children sitting in such close proximity.
4. How often are you going to use the twin stroller?
If you're only planning on using a stroller for quick errands to the mall a couple times a week, you don't need to purchase a heavy-duty, high-end twin stroller with a lot of features. However, if you like going for walks or runs on a daily basis, or if you go out with your children often and for long periods of time, you should consider getting something that is comfortable and durable, since double strollers take twice the abuse of single strollers.
5. Who will be using the stroller?
Keep in mind the height and stride of the person or persons who will be using the twin stroller the most, as well as their physical strength. It's no fun pushing a stroller with a handle that is too low or too high for comfort and neither is folding and picking up one that is cumbersome. It's true that double strollers are heavier and bulkier than single strollers due to their very nature, but there are models on the market that are easier to handle than others.
6. What features are you looking for?
Do you want a simple, no frills twin stroller, or something with lots of comfort, durability and storage space? This brings us back to the types of activities you do most often. It's very disappointing to purchase a stroller and then realize that its features don't meet your needs as well as they could have.
7. How much space do you have for transporting and storing it?
With a few exceptions, double strollers take up a lot of room. The size of your vehicle may be a big deciding factor when choosing a double model. Make sure it fits! Also, take into account where you will store the stroller at home.
8. What can you afford?
This is probably the most important question of all. Think carefully of your present and future stroller needs with your two children. What is the minimum you are willing to live with? Can you afford to pay for a higher quality twin stroller that will make your life easier in the long run, or are you willing to take your chances with a budget stroller that may break down before you're done using it? For twins, a double universal car seat carrier (stroller frame) is an inexpensive alternative to buying an actual stroller during the infant stage if you're yet not sure what you'll need later on.
Once you've determined what you really need, then you can begin researching the various brands and models that are on the market. Read as many double stroller reviews as possible. You will be able to quickly eliminate double strollers that don't fit your criteria, making the whole process a lot easier and less time-consuming.

Searching For the Perfect Nursery Crib Bedding
Searching For the Perfect Baby Bedding
Before I go any further, I would like to bring up a point that many parents overlook. Crib bedding (especially baby girl bedding!) is the focal point of the nursery and cute beyond words. When planning the nursery, keep in mind that baby bedding can be the cause of suffocation. To reduce the risk of suffocation, make sure to get a firm mattress and sheets that fit tightly. When your baby is sleeping, be sure to keep the crib clear of stuffed animals, pillows, and even blankets. Blankets can pose a risk to babies, so in winter use a sleep sack/wearable blanket instead.
Buying individual pieces of baby bedding is more work, and often more expensive, than buying a bedding set. As I'm sure you've already realized, there are an anstonishing number of themes to choose from, including Paisley Park 4 piece bedding sets. The Internet provides such an amazing selection of bedding that you will either find what you want, or it doesn't exist.
The first thing you need to do is decide what you want, then go looking for crib sets. What theme have you chosen? Have you chosen a special crib? What color are you painting the walls? Will the bedding clash? All of these things should be considered before you ever start your search.
There are numerous reasons why you should buy your bedding online. Shop around at various websites and you'll see an amazing selection to choose from. Searching for a deal is critical, otherwise everything will cost you an arm and a leg. Department stores usually do not offer better prices than online, even though many people think otherwise. The easiest way to be sure is to go to a department store and check their prices, but don't be surprised if they're significantly higher than ecommerce stores.
